New Post: Adds an item to calendar about each calls

hello,

This software is very interesting, perhaps you could be able add a function.
Add all incoming calls in the calendar or just those belonging to one or more categories (and mark the category in the title for exemple).
And by extension, add to the calendar outgoing calls.

I had the same issue running WM6.1. I copied the app from the '/Programs' directory and then pasted a shortcut to the '/windows/start menu/programs/' folder.

I have installed SMSNotifier and it installed successfully and is showing in the 'remove programs' section but there is no icon in the 'programs' list so cannot activate.

It did activate once on a soft reset but does not even do that now. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and still no good.

Have had to put on Mobile Secretary which is no where near as good so please help.

Dear Mr Alikoski,

I am eternally grateful for the conception of this device. I work for myself and use this as a tool to keep a track of who I have missed calls from. I have been using it pretty much since you wrote it all those years ago. I was wondering if there was any thoughts on including a chance to decide which calls you could monitor; i.e Received, Missed and Dialled. And then assign a category to these calls. I myself would monitor all the above.

Is it possible to see notification in default calendar. I checked in options but I can't see it. I see it in Pocket Breeze but not in default calendar.

-calendar items with specified category (to easily filter them out of normal calendar view)
-special startup parameter to hide the sms notifier screen during startup, if started with for example -h parameter, the setting screen shouldn't be shown, but sms notifier should be activated in the background
-more details in calendar logging: add phone number of caller in notes, add number of caller in calendar item title when the number could not be found in contact list, add info if an sms message has been send to the contact or not.
-add support for option to auto reply on incoming sms'es. (low priority)

Hi,

Sorry for missing your message and coming back into this so late.

It should be installed at \Program Files\SMS Notifier, added at Programs and a shortcut added into Startup folder (so it should autostart when you boot your device). Are any of those available?

Hi, I just tried to install the Notifier program on a Fujitsu-Siemens PocketLooxT by running the CAB file directly on the mobile device.

The PocketlooxT is running WindowsMobile V5.0
OS 5.1.195 Build 14955.2.3.0

The installation goes of with no errors.
However, after installation, the program is no where to be found??

Any ideas?

Hmm, I did some investigation on HP iPAQ 6315, and it seems that it is Pocket PC Phone 2003 device, which is not supported at all since it does not have the WM 5.0 additions that I am using in the app. I think you are out of luck unless you can find a ROM upgrade to at least Windows Mobile 5.0 for your device. It should officially come from HP, but I doubt they have it available (haven't investigated that one though).

I have now install the ".NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP2" on my device and it reacts differently when I am trying to run it. It returns an error of missing a file(-library).Specifically,it is missing the 'Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Status,Version=1.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35'
Can you help me with this? Have I to install any new libraries or copy any files to my device?

I have to mention that I didn't run the ".NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP2" on my device nor on my PC, but I have installed the latest .NET framework on my PC. But, I think the PC have nothing to do with the problem as I am running the *.cab file from my PPC device.

What do you mean by it not running appropriately? How does it behave?

You do need to have compact framework installed on the device, I believe you will have an error telling that it is not installed in that case.

Congratulations for your project, it seems to be extremely useful. But, I have a problem on running this program from my ppc(HP iPAQ 6315, Windows CE 2003). It cannot run on it, although the system doesn't returns any error message to me.
I got a warning message only when I installed it. It exactly said :
"The program is not compatible with the current operating system and, therefore, may not run on this device. Do you want to continue installation?"
I chose "Yes",but it didn't run appropriately.
